Santa Fe Plaza

The Santa Fe Plaza shopping center is a neighborhood shopping center in the beach city of Encinitas owned by four separate owners. It was originally developed in the mid 1960’s with outdated elements, an inefficient design and architecture that does not address today’s retail environment. To effectively remodel the existing center, care needed to be taken to minimize the impact on existing tenants and maintain a positive relationship between the owners, tenants, neighbors and building officials while expediting the governmental review, demolition, construction and grand opening of a new 45,000 square foot Vons grocery store.
